
Artist Bio
Dae Jin Kim was born in Seoul Korea.
He begins his piano study at the age of 6.
Arrives in the US at the age of 12.
Mr. Kim studied with Brandt Fredriksen and Marietta Orlav at the Royal Conservatory of Music, now a Glenn Gould Studio.
Earned a Bachelor's degree in Music at the Mannes School of Music.

Dae Jin is currently on a performance schedule, with his new composition: Rose of Sharon
(MuGungHwa: adapted from a traditional song theme by Ham Yi Young)
This song was composed to commemorate the 6.25 Korean War veterans in hopes of bringing peace and unity to the divided nation.
For this reason, he is an activist standing for peace, human rights, as well as keeping one's own artistic and cultural heritage.
He uses his music to communicate with his audiences the essence of love and struggle that comes with relationship.
Reflecting on the triumph and reunion of love. This is to encourage people who have lost their loved ones through death, war, poverty, separation, and sickness.
Dae Jin's performance consists of various types of music.
Pop, rock, jazz, musical, praise song, and impressionistic element.
He primarily seeks to blend a unique genre in music into his own composition.

Mr. Kim is currently working on a project to prepare the soundtrack for the film score, ‘King David’ and recently completed the collection of his solo piano pieces:
“Dream”, “Destination”, “First Love”, “Personal Jesus”, “Reminiscence” and “City Light”.
Dae Jin’s most recent composition is a piano quintet called "Spring."
